In all seriousness, this is really disappointing. Companies this big hire a lot of employees who work hard everyday, even if they are building inferior and illegal products. These sorts of lawsuits cause those workers to miss out on bonuses while their supervisors make the hard decisions of who to layoff to offset the cost of doing business illegally. All the while, upper management continues to do business the same way by cutting costs and workers without ever considering the impact it could have if only they did business the legal way. Toyota has become the capitalist pig in the automotive world while the press-dogged American manufacturers in the home of free enterprise have managed to compete fairly, pay high wages, and generate overwhelmingly superior products. This is truly discouraging from Japan, a nation that prides itself on technological supremacy and doing good business worldwide. Toyota is not just embarrassing its company name with its recent debacles but rather the whole nation of Japan and in fact the entire automotive industry by striking concern into the many drivers who have for years associated Toyota with reliable, safe transportation.
