D3 COOLANT RESERVOIR INSTALL

I bought a D3 reservoir from a fellow member here and I am ready to get it installed. I set the reservoir where it needs to go and see where to bolt it on. What I need to know is which hose goes to the reservoir? I have looked at them but I sure do not want to cut the wrong one. I did a search here and could not find anything about how to do this and tried the rotofab reservoir install and no luck there either. Those of you who have installed one guide me in the right direction. Thanks

I don't know what D3 recommends but the rotofab puts the reservoir right after the supercharger.... then the reservoir feeds the pump. After I melted down one reservoir with superheated steam coming out of the supercharger, I put my reservoir in line between the heat exchanger in the grill and the cold side of the supercharger. It works a little better that way. Really you could put it anywhere in line as long as your fluid never gets crazy hot. If you ever plan on using ice in the reservoir it really needs to be right before the supercharger inlet to be the most effective.

Hey Jess how are you? Have not talked to you in a while. Your car going again and if so how is it? I think I read here you bought a vette to. Did you get a ZO6? Anyway, thanks for the info.

There's a couple of pictures in a D3 tank thread in the ZL1 drivetrain section that show which hose was cut for the tank. Looks like the drivers side

Driver side line to the top of the tank and the bottom line goes to the pump directly under it.

Hey m1key1111, The inlet elbow on your Roto Fab intake needs to be flipped around. The fitting for the breather canister is supposed to be on the underside of the elbow.

do the fittings just screw on the d3 reservoir or will you need to apply some Teflon tape?

No tape is necessary.
