I think either would be a good deal. Is the local a 1LE? If not, there are more items to it (rear end gears, shifter, etc) that are not on a typical SS. Also, if they key recall was not done on the new one, they won't deliver it to you until that has been done. The Texas car may not have to go through that, or may have already. Some places take days to do the recall. Mine was 3 hours, but it was not the "days" that some have experienced. 1600 miles is still a steal. They are just selling it "used" versus "new" the minute you drive off in the new one, same boat. Plus the Cold Air intake is about $400. I don't recall what else it had on it, but take those into account as well. The 1LE should have the dual mode exhaust (under hard accelleration the exhaust gases bypasses muffler) which is another $1100 or so from the dealer also. It is the NPP exhaust option. Two tips on each side versus one. I think the 1LE has that standard. You can also get turn by turn directions through OnStar if one does not have the Nav option. Just a few other thoughts.

In the worst case you loose the $500.00. They can not do a damn thing if you piss back ( back out on the deal ) other then keep your $500.00. If you like the car , dicker with them and try to get another 1 or 2 thousand dollars off .

Those tires are like new. Brand new they look 'used' on the outside.

I actually ordered a Cold Air Inductions kit for $400 hours before I found out it already has one. Id have to pay 25% restocking fee and shipping back to seller now lol. Or I might just keep it and replace it with the Robo-fab since I hear everyone like the CAI better. |

Thanks bud! Yea it would've been nice if someone looked at it first. But oh well, if there are any surprises I'll just deal with it. I'm just tired of spending the last 3-4 months looking up different cars(BMW, Audi, Viper, Corvette, etc) I'm ready to drive. And judging by how cool people are on this forum offering help/parts it seems like going with a Camaro was a good choice.

And its on the move...
I can't believe I've finally made a decision and bought a car. This will be my first sports car. Kinda glad I didn't get one in my 20s... I just hope I wont out-grow the power in a few weeks. If it's anything like motorcycles I will need more power very soon. I started riding bikes few years ago and in the first year I chaged 8 bikes... It wont be easy with cars and especially now that my state charges 7% tax even on private sales |

I would also ask them to check alignment before taking delivery, the 1le cars seem to be out of spec fairly often
