.3-.5 taken off 1/4 runs

I wanted to try and keep my car stock but after a running at the Drag Strip I want to get closer to a set time (Class Limit) been running around xx.6xx in the 1/4 with crappy 60' im thinking new tires and intake will help shave the needed .3-.5 sec off my time.

xx.6xx? Like 13.6x?

I put an intake on my car, and some 18" wheels w/ street tires on my car and went from last years previous best time of 13.333 to a 12.84 @ 110mph

M6 my times where around 16.668 (I know that spacific but that was my last run and I rembered) granted track is at over 5000ft so times are harsh lol.

I used to race in El Paso so I know about altitude.

What are your 60-foot times?

For an M6, my guess is you can gain .3-.5 easy with more practice.

My biggest issue is getting the tires to grab I ran 13.404 down at Arroyo seco here between deming and las cruces NM best 60' was 2.24 best reaction time was .684 but it was my first time will get better at it the more I run. Going to get some DR soon hope before the next meet next month.

I know the feeling I live in El paso and im stuck running 14.1 @ 105. With a few bolt-ons. 60 Ft times suck to on average 2.2-2.4 with stock tires and feathering the throttle.

With some practice, seat time and a decent set of drag radials you should have no problem making the improvement you are looking for.

I have to add that a set of BMR trailing arms, and a Spohn rear sway bar seemed to help me hook up better, and reduce wheel hop. I added those last year after the first race, so they can't really count toward this years new fast time with the changes this year.

They seemed to make a world of difference. Fast time before the BMR/Spohn stuff was 13.89, with horrible 60' times, and wheel hop. Nothing but seat time and those 2 additions got me down to the 13.333 from 13.89 last year.

Agreed and the BMR trailing arms I put on stopped the wheel hop that I was having.
Thanks for the great equipment you make.

No problem, we try to build the best possible product and still keep it affordable.

Launching a 6 speed manual car is definitely a chore but with practice and traction it can be done.

Get rid of those 20's and get some 18's for the track. This is what I'm doing..its hard to get good 60ft times consistantly with such a large rim. 18's with a Hoosier in the back for me!
