2014 Camaro LS vs 1997 Pontiac Firebird

Okay, I met this guy who has a 1997 Pontiac Firebird. He's pretty proud of it and which is fine until he started trash talking my Camaro. He tried to tell me his car would beat mine in a race on this old privately owned road that's about 5 miles long and I told him I'd meet him there. His car is running 285 HP and 338 ft-lb of torque. and last time I had my Camaro checked it was running 345 HP with 312 ft-lb of torque. The road is slight turns and mostly straightaways. Who do y'all think would win in this match up??

You must have a decent amount of bolt ons to be dyno'ing 345hp and 312 lbs of torque from the original 323 crank hp and 278 lbs/tq stock. Seems like you have put a lot into the car. With that being said, you plan on racing 5miles? You haven't specified the distance of the race either.

I was planning on going the full 5 miles. Its out in the sticks on a road my buddy owns so no police or other traffic to get in the way. I also pulled the passenger seat out along with radio since I can put them in after the race. 😁😁😂😂 It drops my curb weight by a bit so thats nice. After school today I am meeting up with him.

I've also run the road before in 2:21 before putting on my CAI and my Performance chip and removed the seat.

Stock for stock I'd say he would still have you. While he may not have quite the horsepower you have, he has weight reduction on his side. 4th gens make 5th gens looks like whales.

You have 250RWHP. The stock V6 has tremendous body roll, you will run into eachother or a ditch.

I don't know he said he has a performance chip so he might be pushing 251 RWHP
