My v6 VS Z06 with SC - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So driving around town the other day, a yellow and black modded to hell z06 came loping up beside me at a stoplight. The thing sounded beautiful, and I couldn't help but smile as I've wanted a Corvette since I was 7 or so. The guy driving looks sideways and revs it a bit so I play a little back, my stock exhaust lost under his roar. As the light turns green he guns it off the line up to the next stoplight a couple hundred yards ahead and all I could do was laugh from the joy it brought me to see and hear this beautiful car. We ended up both rolling down the windows and telling eachother how great eachothers cars were and eventually ended up talking for awhile in a parking lot, waiting for an accident to be cleared from the road. It was the coolest feeling that these two cars brought two completely different people together around one passion, and that's why I love these cars. Before we left he jokingly challenged me to a run at the track. So, to make this whole story not pointless, any estimates on how many car lengths my stock 2011 v6 would fall behind a beautiful z06 with a blower?

And I'm talking bus lengths.

thats awesome man! see a while back i was driving through tyler and some dude in a 5th gen SS flew past me hauling ass...me owning a lfx v6 i knew there was no chance and he would just rape me...so i putted along and pulled up next to him complimented his car and then instead of being gracious of the compliment he proceeds to tell me he can run with vettes...i asked him what he had done to it and he said all stock....not only is he full of crap...but was a doucher IMO....but i do enjoy getting waves from fellow camaro owners....i used to drive a jeep wrangler so was used to the "jeep wave" i think ill enjoy the camaro wave alot more....but for lengths i think i gotta agree with zogster lol

The title of this thread scared me. A Z06 with a blower VS a stock v6? LOLOLOLOL

My actual serious estimate would be somewhere between somewhere between 35-42 car lengths giving the V6 a super hero run of 14.0.
