Chris - I will definitely be at the LSX Shootout and would love to grab a steak with you while we are there. I was really hoping to make the Atlanta race but we had some issues with the intake and injectors so we are just taking our time making sure everything is perfect and the way we want it. It should make some noise when it is dialed in. I would love to hear more about the rear kit to fit 15" wheels as I also have a source that is making a kit as we speak and should be on my car in a week or so. Looks like you guys are ready to go REALLY fast with that new motor and all that nitrous.

I bet we can work something out, I'm sure you could sell them.

The bushings we use in our 9" kit is the same BMR bushing kit they sell for the OEM rear plus they all pick up the same factory locations.

I cant release a weight yet on the aluminum version as it is still going through some different machining variations to see how much weight we can take out of it but still have the rigidity in the FEM (3D CADD Finite Element Models).
Will probably be another month or so before we have one ready for testing.

Thanks
Chris
Thanks.. I'm sure I could find a buyer for them....

That's cool that it uses the OE bushing size and locations.. Hopefully, it would be possible to order w/o those pieces since I already have the upgraded HD bushes and whatnot.

As long as it's not stupid heavy, I'm more concerned with the strength.. Plenty of people tell me I should be fine with DRs and my upgraded axles.. But.. This is my only car and I have limitations.. I'd rather upgrade first, than break then buy.

Yes, we can sell you the kit minus the bushings. If you have some now then it would only make sense for you to re-use them and save some $.

Thanks
Chris

You got it bud, the housings and brackets get powder coat but the stubs and axles all get the e-coat finish. Years later and your parts you paid all this money for still look brand new

Thanks
Chris

I've talked about this before, there is a considerable amount of strain put on the center section of an IRS rear.
When we put our 9" kit to the test in our GTO shop car, we were able bend the front mount when launching off the trans brake at 5500 rpms. The front mount on that kit is 1/4" thick, same thickness as our Camaro front mount. We are adding gussets to make it stronger for the GTO.
The Camaro mounts different and the loads are applied differently but you get the idea.
That is the reason we make such a bullet proof housing and use the heavy duty Pro-Iron case.

I bet we could come up with something. I dont have a v6 set of axles so I would have to get a set to see how they are different.

Thanks
Chris

Chris that aluminum housing with a pro strange or moser thru bolt aluminum case sounds like the ticket for me for sure.. I'm all about dropping some weight on my 9 inch.
