can I polish my car again?

So last week I polished my car and removed 85% of the scratches it had for a meet and greet we had this week. But I could still see some of the more deeper scratches that didn't come out including a bird dropping that didn't really come out. Is it safe if I polish it again?

Yes unless you went crazy with a rotary the first time.

Yup. With a tool like the Porter cable you can polish several times without much harm at all to your clear coat. Do wonder how many times you could use something like the porter cable and adam's polishes before you actually start to harm your clear coat. Maybe CD07 can answer that one.

Quick question matt, how often do you polish your car since you have the best detailed camaro on this forum? I used a da polisher with meguiars 105m ultra cut compoud which worked pretty well but I don't know if I had to hit it a little bit more

I guarantee you I do not have the best detailed Camaro. Not even close!

If you used what you said, you're perfectly fine. You could theoretically hit it with that dozens upon dozens of times without having any issues.

However, that doesn't mean you should.

The idea is that you only correct your paint once with something that aggressive. After that, if you're using proper care techniques, the most you'll need to do is a quick refresh and mild swirl removal with a light polish maybe once or twice a year.

I do mine twice a year and I never need anything more than SF4500 on my car because I don't inflict damage in between polishing.

So, to summarize, never think of polishing in terms of 'How much can I do it?' Instead, think of it in terms of 'How little can I make my paint need it? '
