New alternator and recharged the battery????

I have a 2012 V6 camaro. I was driving home when the dash read battery saver mode. Eventually things shut off and the car died. So naturally the way things happened told me it was the alternator. I got a new one, charged the battery and now, the battery light is still on and I have no power steering. Help please.........

Check all your connections, including grounding wires.

I have been working on cars for as long as I can remember. I've also been on a few forums and have seen some pretty dumb things. I am embarrassed to say, I didn't put the belt back on.

What is your voltage reading while running? How much amperage is the new alternator producing? Did you check voltage at alternator plug? Lots of things to check before changing parts..

Read his last post, 0 volts and zero amps. Sounds like it was just a missing alt belt. Woopsie!
