Turn One Power Steering Pump

Received my new power steering pump from Turn One yesterday. It's already set up for AN lines. Can't wait to feel the response different running her through the auto cross should be all done by next week

I was thinking about it and there's going to be 7 company involved in the completing of the power steering assembly.

1. Turn One - power steering pump.
2. Innovators West - Power steering pump pulley.
3. ARP - all the bolts
4. The company I use for the reservoir tank.
5. Company I use for the braided lines.
6. USA Metal Polishing - my local polisher
7. PPG - paint to for pump.

Is the steering pump snout the same size as stock? I'm wondering if the innovators pulley will press right on.

It's a type II pump which Turn One sell as a direct replacement for 2010 + Camaro. Hopefully, it wont be one of the those "Seriously........ are you Freaking kidding me moments" LOL

But, I will double check before I start sanding, polishing, etc....... and find out it wont work. I seem to remember some guy who had something similar happen with a water pump

I just had a 3rd knee procedure done in the last year which still hasn't fixed it. Just been in too much pain to work on the car. 4th surgeon consult next week in the never ending quest to find a doctor who stayed at a Holiday Inn express last night.

The car suddenly developed a dead 02 sensor, beyond that I may not get around to much for a while. Between work and surgeons I don't have it in me to go all "nathan" on my motor. You're now a verb.

Eventually I will end up there but I'm too young and would end up with 2-3 replacements in my lifetime and revisions for that ain't good at all. Plus I'm trying to stay in the military and that would get me booted immediately.

I have been following this for a little while seeing if I could steal some ideas for my v6. First off i want to say you are brave doing all this and you are doing an amazing job. I did notice you got an apex w/w relocator. I haven't gone through every page yet but i was wondering if you found a good place to mount it yet?

KJ thanks for following the thread and if you need any help, just ask. There is some great guys here willing to help you out. I haven't gotten to the relocation tank yet bit I have some great ideas I will be implementing to the engine bay that no ones has done the 5th gen yet but I don't think I'll be the last. So make sure to stay plugged in.

Thanks AFROST, we definitely need more guys joining the club. You start with small balls and they will grow as you go......... trust me , LOL.

I found a thread similar to ours for the Honda guys. It has over 1,300 pages and 32, 000 post of snot nose kids doing crazy stuff to their rice rockets engine bay. I'm not into the rice rockets but I definitely respect the effort. We need more guys to represent, LOL

Quick update. I just got my heads. cam, trunnion kit from Lingenfelter today. Unfortunately, they forgot to send me the CR5 timing chain and gears :(.

Here are a few pics.

Can you tell me what missing in this pic?

That's very cool of you but not necessary. Sell it to help fund your project. If you don't need the cash then donate it to the Wounded Warrior Project or Fisher House, they help people far worse off than me. I'm just a whiner who hops on one foot a lot. Maybe I'll just learn to walk on my hands. If I learn to do that while holding a wrench I'll have it made.
