Switched to Manual

I did it today! after much consideration I feel manual is the way to go for myself.. also got the hurst short throw (and am hoping for the leather knob as I haven't heard any confirmation as to what kind of shift knob will come with it and neither did the dealer)

final car specs.

2010 Camaro 1SS/RS Cyber Grey, Black interior, Ground FX Package, LS3 W/Hurst Short Throw Shifter.

I haven't ordered yet....

I'm waiting till late 2009/early 2010. I want to see what the next gen engines we've been hearing about have to offer. Also I'll be debt free except the house by then so that helps.

As far as who I'll order from here locally? All I can really say is stay away from Coggin. They are awful awful. I've been taken by them more times than I care to admit. Mostly on repair work. They know nothing about the camaro as of the last time I went in to the sales office to talk with them.

I'd look into the dealership in Saint Augustine, or maybe a bit further south.

I've heard a few good things about the dealer in Palatka and Middleburg also.

Have you talked to any dealers yet?

Good choice! The level of excitement in the experience of driving a manual delivers can't be matched by any automatic...

Liking what you ordered too.

I haven't talked to any dealers yet - my '96 is still going strong. But I bought my last 2 cars (both Camaros) from Crest Chevrolet--and from the same salesman. But he's not there anymore. Haven't been to the new Jerry Hamm on Phillips at Emerson.

Nice car. LS3 is for me.

I have a lot of reasons to get an automatic. Just - can't - do - it!

Tremec TR6060. CAGS eliminator. Yum.

Quote:
Tremec's TR6060 features greatly increased torque capacity over the TR3650 used in production models and 6 forward gears
Increased TORQUE capacity = Increased Holy Crap! Capacity.
