IDK I think that I would give credit to the crew who set up and did all the math and all that stuff, too make sure he made the jump. Hell I would have did that jump. The car did not even hit that hard. Actual rally racing have harder landings than that.

I don't think so. I mean you have the crew that does some of the stuff, but overseeing the whole thing is the driver. 8 times out of 10 he's in the heart of it because well.. it's his ass in the drivers seat and not the crew chief's. <_<

True, true. I just think that they make is sound harder than it was. I am impressed but I think he could have went further.

I googled Ray Bowman 272 and all it came up with was your post and... "Foot in mouth disease".

If crash landing counts, I think Powers wins
Don't take my word for it, it was on Mythbusters.

Beyond Productions does the research.

They're from Australia.... like the Camaro.

P.S. Is there a Jessi spread in FHM, like Kari's?

Yeah it was officially 269'. He hit the e-brake in mid-air before he hit the landing, and if you watched it live it showed multiple camera angles of the jump. One was in the car, and right before he hit the barrier he just stiffened his whole body and gritted his teeth because he knew he was fixing to hit that barrier pretty hard.

The only thing I didn't like about that jump is they say they count the spot where the vehicle first makes contact as the distance. This is opposite of what they do in sports like the long jump.
