My exhaust project.
Hello, i am kinda new to the forums and i needed some help. Im about to purchase the dynomax racing bullet mufflers 24215 with dynomax tips 36474 and the magnaflow resonated x pipe. I had a few questions one of them being does anyone have a setup similar to this or if anyone has heard something similar to this in person and if they can they tell me what to expect? All i have heard is videos. Another question being will it all fit, with the stock 2.25 pipe or will i have to go to a bigger size? The last question is will this be too loud? I have heard that the racing bullets are extremely loud, but the have the tone that i like and i want it a little louder than stock but not too obnoxious, i figured the x pipe would help with that a little. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.
Have you checked out this thread? http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33104 I don't know anything about the mufflers you are talking about, but am interested in hearing your set-up when completed. The Resonated X pipe will help keep things somewhat in check. Another popluar option is add the X pipe and do a muffler delete all together. As the X pipe is basically a muffler too. Yes the stock 2.25 pipe will work fine. See my photo for referance.

I figure that they will be similar to my cherry bombs. Yes they will be loud, not as bad as a muffler delete, a little more refined. But the x-pipe will make it quieter. My cherry bombs were unbearablely loud untill I put the x pipe on.

I think you are going to have yourself a great setup there.
Its something I wanted to try on my car, but never did.

Thanks for the replies guys, I'm worried that it will either be too loud. Or that it might not fit my stock pipes correctly. Also how much do you think a muffler shop will charge to weld these in?

New update, called local muffler shop for a quote on installation and they told me about $275. Does that sound right? Seems a little expensive to me. All they would do is cut out the old and weld the new.

Okay called a new shop and they said it would be about an hour and a half of work so they would charge $140.
