Rear Defrost Causing Radio Static

Everytime I turn the rear defrost on, the radio reception gets static. I just recently had my rear tint removed and put back on. Not sure if that may have anything to do with it since the timing is a bit of a coincidence. Anyone had a the same problem and what was the solution?

Thanks for your help.

You need ceramic film, that will get rid of the problem.

Ceramic is a type of window tint.

The AM/FM antenna is in the rear window I believe. It's possible the tint installation has damaged the wiring.

the problem may be is that the tint that was used is MATELIC and that is what causes the issue. I believe there is something within your owners manual stating NOT to have metalic tint pit on for this reason, or there may be a TSB about it ...... either way, the use of metalic tints causes issues with static and or reseption.
