ask for $13k probly take a little less. It depends on your area too. search around for similar camaro's in your area. I got my 2011 2SS with 13k miles for $20k stock expect intake and exhaust. I saw a lot of 6 cylinders under $10k when I was looking.

Old thread, but thought I would update what i ended up selling it for.

Sold it for $13,500, I was asking $15,000, it sold pretty quick once I advertised it.

And bought this to replace it.

NICE!!!

Good to hear you got a decent price for the Camaro.

Now, does that Pontiac have an LS in it yet?

I knew you would. I don't know where the guys that keep saying that modded cars are worth less get their figures, but in my 50+ years of buying and selling, modded cars with mods that actually work to make the car faster, better, llok nicer, sound nicer...etc. Will sell. Yes, you will never get the true value of the car plus the true value of all the mods but you usually get more than a stock car as many of the guys were saying to the contrary. Glad you stood your ground Even though you say it wasn't long. Congrats!

I have never thought that modded cars are worth less, unless dealing with classics where original parts/matching number matter. Private sale you could definitely get more for a modded car, depending on the mods of course.

As said above, just don't expect to get anything more on a trade.

Congrats on a good sale price and new to you ride. Your Camaro was very tastefully done so it’s no surprise that it sold well.

The whole you won't get any more for mods is only true if selling to a dealer. You gonna tell me I won't get more than $20k for my car which is what I paid last year when it was stock? $20k for a 20k mile 2SS with 700whp that is reliable? The market gets smaller when you heavily mod, yes, and you will never get back what you put in but the value is increased.

I was at one time a BMW Master Tech and a BMW fanatic. Until they lost their minds.

The thing that's funny is that you got about the same and maybe a little more than a 2010 BMW 750LI that was 90K new will bring now used.

There's a reason that a 2010 Camaro that was a third of the price of the BMW new is worth more now than the BMW is.

BMWs are beautiful, they drive great, and if you can afford to lease one or make payments on a new one then dump it before the warranty runs out then enjoy. When the warranty runs out you can't afford to drive it unless you make high 6 figures a year!

Have a 2010 2SS/RS modded for road course use I bought new and a mild resto mod rotisserie restored 71Z28. You couldn't pry my 5th gen from my cold dead hands. To get a 2nd gen even close to the performance, comfort and reliability of a 5th gen, you are spending 40 to 60k. In today's world a semi stock 2nd gen does not make a good daily driver. Did the 2018 Hot Rod Power Tour long haul in my 2010 and the 2019 Hot Rod Power Tour long haul in my 71 Z28. It was cool to do 1987 miles in 7 days in the 71, but by no means was it comfortable even with all the suspension, engine and other upgrades that make it more usable in today's world. Is your car a 6speed or auto? Nice looking car.

It's an auto. I never drove the Camaro, maybe once or twice a month, put maybe 1500 miles on it the last 3 years. I have a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee as a company car that I can use for personal use. So I decided to sell it and get something to use as a weekend cruiser and go to shows. Also something that may go up in value rather than depreciate. I was looking at the 2nd gen Camaro's but I feel they are way over priced right now. I knew the Lemans wouldn't drive or handle the same as the 2010, but it looks so much cooler and I had one that looked similar when I was 19 that I always regretted selling.
