Seen it before, I believe it is just for customizing the display to say something. Seems like a waste to me since I'd be the only to see it and wouldn't really care

or there is the Torque Pro app for $5 you use with an ELM327 OBDII bluetooth reader for about $27

That's going to suck when you keep kicking it out of the OBD port and break your port or the device.
I bought a OBD extension cable for my ELM327 to keep that from happening. The only problem is with an iphone you have to use the wifi version and your data won't work while connected to it.
