Getting shocked!!!
Does anyone here Get a shock everytime they get out of there car after driving it when they go to close there door. If so any idea why?

Static Electricity discharging through you when you ground yourself to the car? It happens a lot in the winter and the air is dry for me, haven't had it happen with this car since it didn't get driven in the winter.

Happened all the damn time through the winter. Only happened to me and never the GF tho, was starting to really piss me off. Once it got warmer it was fine.

I might be wrong but I think I remember hearing someone using this static cling spray, or something like that to help stop the static.

Just have your finger touching part of the door while you slide out of the car. As long as you are grounded while sliding across the seat, it won't happen.

i have leather and i get shocked all the time. i learned to shut the door with my elbow on the window, in stead of touching the door its self.

Static my friend. If your at the gas station make sure you do touch something to discharge all that static or it might just discharge into the gas.

I get shocked all the time getting out of my SUV, but never the Camaro. SUV is the DD, Camaro is a fair-weather car - maybe it does have something to do with the cold weather...
