Just letting everyone know.
On a side note. Wait till you guys see my new r1 concept rotors. I'm very excited about the new brakes. Hoping this will help with some braking for autox.
Dam everyone and their mother are getting those haha even me , you gotta let me know how they are. They are suppose to be lighter than the stock rotors which is a huge bonus for me.

I was just doing some research on pads because I am WAY over due for new ones. I've read that the ceramic ones aren't that great in performance (compared to OEM pads on the SS at least). But that the HAWK HPS pads are great, which is the route I'm probably going to go.

Really? I heard the opposite and that the HPS ones cause a lot more dust. I'll def have to look into it more before I buy. Thanks for the input.

Oh not sure about dust, I don't really care about that. I'm talking performance (brake fade, brake bite, etc). Who knows though..

Either one of the hawks will create less dust than the OEM brakes. The ceramic is supposed to be almost nothing but at reduced braking power while the hawk's HPS are still low dust but better performance.

Size: 150.9 KBI have a set a of hawk pads but I've also heard that they make noise after breakin. I've need used hawk pads. Now I'm thinking of just stock pads and just change them early.

About when would I need a new set of brake pads and rotors? My brakes are starting to feel spongy but my dealer said they were still above their 50%.

It really depends on how you drive. I'm at 50k miles and mine are just now starting to show wear

I'm at 35,080 miles and I've been hearing the brake pad wear indicator for the past 200-300 miles, at least I hope that's what the annoying squeal is coming from my car..

I'm 38,000. Hoping that at 50,000 I'll need new tires, brakes, and pads. Looking to get rid of my wheels (corrosion and weight) and replace them with the stock 18".
