Next years fest at Bowling Green? - Page 16 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I loved Bowling Green for all the various reasons that everyone has already stated and I would love to return for next year. But if it's going to be out west, I would definitely need to know as early as possible to arrange for vacation time and set up for the drive out and back.

I use to live in SoCal and I've made that cross country drive both straight through and also at a leisurely pace and I would definitely need some R&R from the drive now as I'm not as young and bulletproof as I remember being.

California would require two weeks vacation for us to totally make it worthwhile. 3 days for the drive out and 3 days for the return trip and 4-5 days at the fest location just to enjoy all that it has to offer and of course the recuperating time at home.

Bowling Green was great. The people there are very friendly and many great places to eat. Downtown was fun. We enjoyed a side trip through the Smokey Mountain and met more Camaro owners and some CamaroFest attendees there. I would like to go back to Bowling Green in 2 or 3 years but have CamaroFest in another location next year. West or East either would be great.

Got my first .001 reaction time on the drag strip ever, in Bowling Green at the Camaro Fest, and finished third place in V8 class. Would love to try, and better that next year there.

I think only 1st and 2nd got trophies for drag racing.

I would show up to do BG 2 years in a row, because of the road course, but I skipped the second indy and will probably skip others if a road course is not offered. I also like going and seeing different places, a rerun makes my ADD kick in.

I would just do a track weekend at NOLA Motorsports Park instead of the Fest. Drag racing is just not as thrilling as going as fast as you can and slowing and turning for 20 or 30 minutes at a time

. And Camaro cross is not even close to being a consolation prize, it's just over too quick.
