I notice another company selling differentials with different gear ratios. Do you use different gears in the differentials or do you go with the stock gear ratio?

(I'm a novice at this stuff, I hope that wasn't a stupid question.)

We can supply the 9" with just about any gear ratio you would want, anything from 3.00 to 6.00, most people go with ratio's from 3.25 for forced induction cars and 3.90 ratio for n/a guys. We've even done some kits with 4.86 gears.
And as far as spline size, we can do 31, 33 or 35 spline with a Truetrac, Detroit Locker or the Wavetrac posi units.
Lots of options available so it might be best to call if you have any questions.

Thanks
Chris

We know offer our 9" kit with the new 35 spline Strange S-Track posi.
Strange just came out with the 35 spline S-Track a few weeks ago and Talked to me about it while at the LSx shootout, it's a really nice unit.

Thanks
Chris

Is that the same price as the standard package you offered before?

Also, is the 35 spline better than the 31 spline? (Sorry for the noobie questions, but I'm getting very close to ordering one of these once I settle on a new transmission.)

The 35 spline S-Track is a $600. Up grade.

The larger in spline you go in the posi, the stronger it will be. You probably don't need 35 spline unless your currently putting down big power or have future plans to put down big power to the tires.
The Camaro comes factory with 32 spline stubs and posi so going with a 31 spline is a step back but still plenty strong for most folks.
To give you an example, we have a GTO customer running 9.20's on our little 28 spline stubs, he pulls 1.34 60ft times also.
These are 300m so they will take some severe abuse.
He has since swathed to our 9" kit with 31 spline stubs and continues to run similar times with no problems.
I say if you can afford the up-grade then go with 35 spline.

Thanks
Chris

I checked this stuff out at the LSFest and I must say the product is very stout.
I'm neither a fan of IRS nor 9" but I gotta say, I'm not as negative anymore.

Some say our fabricated 9" is overkill but sometimes overkill is good

Thanks for the orders guys!

Our fabricated 9" will accept up to a 35 spline inner stub, if your going to go big you might as well step up and get a bullit proof pumpkin with a 35 spline Wavetrac or a 35 Spline S-Trac.
Some of you might know this but Strange has just come out with a 35 spline S-Trac posi to compete with the Wavetrac and we offer it as an option for our 9" kit.

Thanks
Chris

Is there a reason to with the S-Trac over the Wavetrack or vice versa?

I'm finalizing my estimates with IPS Motorsports to do some work on my car and I think I may be able to include your 9" kit in the project.

Were still working with Strange on how the S-trac warranty works but the Wavetrac with Moser is a Lifetime warranty.
Both are excellent high end posi units.

I talked to Brandon at IPS about several builds coming up, sounds like IPS will be keeping us pretty busy

Thanks
Chris

I agree, go 35 spline and be done with the center for good. 31 spline will hold some serious power but the 35 spline will hold insane power, especialy in an automatic car.

We will be doing some testing with 35 spline stubs in our GTO shop car late this year or early spring. Might hit the NMCA circuit with it.

Finally got the car up in the air for inspection...No Leaks The gears still wine a bit, but no where near before. I'll deal with it for a while then swap for a different brand. Put new tires on the rear, 100% warranty . I do still have a vibration that starts around 85 and gets progresively worse, any suggestions? Deffinitely feels like driveline vibration, has anyone else had an issue? Thanks again for getting her going, waiting for the track to open back up so I can get that 11.6. Last run was in 85 degrees, pulled a 1.65 60' (while pulling timing) and trapped a 12.1/111. Corrected times show it to be a 11.6 @ 115. Oh, it also is getting two piece front rotors and V6 rears. Thats worth at least a tenth.
