Kyle, place is coming along great...

Add on question about gutters, does a big snow tend to damage them, that could be a lot of weight in them with the acreage you have up there... ... Furthest north I've ever lived is right here so please be nice...

I dont think the snow would affect them that much because it is a shingle roof. If it was a metal roof, then that ice and snow would come crashing off at high speed and probably take the gutters with it.

we went no gutter because of the looks of them, how much water each side would flow.... even in a small rain, and the pure fact that you would need a crane just to clean them out every year!!

Guess I missed the shoe and fire pits... I can pitch a mean shoe when you're ready.

those have actually been in for about 25 years, I just rhino lined the old wood.
Dad put them in with a transit. Lots of Strohs drank at those pits.

Jon here from BuildThreads, Inc.

Congrats and nice work Kyle.Gilmour and everyone who posted in this thread over the years - this build thread was chosen as a Best Build Thread pick for this week.

What this means is that a bunch of guys who like to build stuff (cars, trucks, 4x4s, bikes, cabins, boats, planes, and garages) and have read a ton of build threads, thought that this build thread makes a valuable contribution to online DIY culture.

So, without further ado:

Here's your listing on our GarageBuilds.net site: Detroit Muscle Loft/Garage by Kyle.Gilmour, fully credited to you and Camaro5.com, and linked back to your thread via title link, bare URL link, and a linked thumbnail image (like Google Images). We also have a page listing all builds from Camaro5.com: All Garage Builds from Camaro5.com. Congrats again and cheers!
