Skip Shift Eliminator Issue
Just saw in this thread someone was getting a code when they installed this (2 different brands) on his MY2013.
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...=149094&page=2 Anyone else seen this issue? Maybe the EPA Nazis made Chevy change something recently? I had one on my 2010 SS with no issues and have one for the ZL1 but am now hesitant to install it. And no, a tune is not an option at this point nor is screaming in 1st gear in an interstate backup.

As FinallySatisfied mentioned, there are already many 2013MY Camaros with skip shift eliminators with no issues. We are investigating the case in the thread you mentioned and there is definitely something going on with the car itself. There has been two ship shift eliminators installed, one from Apex and the other from SLP, and both times the car has tripped a CEL. If any new information comes to light we will definitely spread the word but for the time being we have no reason to not recommend them for the 2013MY cars.

Just installed skip shift eliminator from RPI, I beleive it's a Phasetech, and got a CEL. Used a OBDII reader and got p080c code. I guess I'll need to pull it out and test the resistance.

Here's a screen shot of the scan tool. First time posting a picture here, so we'll see if it works. |

Just a guess based on what I know about electronics, I am thinking the resistance in the eliminator is too high or there is a bad connection not allowing enough voltage to get back to the controller.
