Thanks! I've heard Corsa has no drone, but like the deep sound of my Flowmasters. I may have to change my exhaust...again...

i'd think about puttin in the hi-flows first before you dump the catbacks. see if there is a drone with yours...ya never know.
one of the guys here didn't hear much of a drone, but it drove his old lady nuts...you might not think it's such a big deal.

Do the Solos bolt right in place between the manifolds and the Exhaust at the stock location?
I have the Corsa cat back as well...so I'm assuming it utilizes the stock wide exhaust clamp also,no

You will have to get them from Steve at SOLO Forum name goingsolo2.

I just had my set of these installed today. This has nothing to do with SOLO, but you need to be very careful when dealing with the O2 sensors. They are easily damaged.

I'm conflicted so give me some honest responses : )

did you plan on tuning prior to buying the HFC's? did AFM bother you a lot more post-install? how does the car sound when AFM is kicking on and off?

ultimately if I have to tune I'm just getting longtube headers but I'm wanting at least 10k miles on the engine before I hit that comfort level. would rather just hfc's and no tune : P

i wasn't planning a tune but tampa tuning offered a tranny tune for $125
and he's close enough to get the stock tune back in if i need it. i also checked with the local chevy service manager and he said they look the other way unless you blow out your rear end, tranny or drive shaft.
i just want to put the thing in drive and not have the afm botherin me. i'm not used to the engine changin sizes on me all by itself.
i got 400 hp and 8 cylinders and that's what i want anytime the car is runnin. if i was worryin about mileage, i'd get the volt.

Sorry it took so long to respond.

About the same time it takes after you put on the CAI or any other mod that doesn't require a tune.
Air moves faster through the cats and the rear O2 sensors are pulled back out of the pipe using extensions. This is the reason no tune is required.
If you want a time frame... a day or two.

I had a friend install the Solo high flow cats a short while ago, he delivered the car(about a half mile drive) when he got here the first thing I did was a hole shot, no cel. Before I put them on afm and drone never bothered me, now still no drone but afm sucks, but the performance difference and sound is well worth it. Would I do it again, hell yes.

i've been usin the paddle shifters ever since the solos were put on and i'm definitely goin for the tranny tune in a couple weeks. the sound is perfect but the pause after the paddle is hit is gigantic to me. after the tune it'll be tight shifts in manual or auto and i'll have 8 pistons pumpin.
i payed extra for an automatic...the only time i think i should be shiftin is showin what this things got.
