Dealers do our parts all the time, but then again we mod OEM items

Dont do it...we had a Razzi kit installed by the GM dealer..needs to go back for a fourth time..first time they left the rear diffuser sitting on the pipes..we said no, the pipes will melt the diffuser, they said it wouldn't...well, it did..second time in, the rear diffuser was falling off, melted the diffuser again..third time fell off again and now it is falling again...and we paid them 10 hours of labor plus our lovely 13% tax on top, about $700..and now if we wanted to remove the rear diffuser all together, we have to get the body fixed up, the took paint off down to metal...the side Razzi skirts are another story...

That's not how it works. Yes they charge by the hour, but they use a labor time guide to calculate the amount of time needed to do the work. What usually happens though is the tech will get the job done in under the time that the guide says it should take, but you still pay what the guide time dictates. But that is at any shop not just New Car Dealerships. The difference will be in what the hourly rate is that particular shop charges, and it can vary by several dolars per hour from one shop to another. Check around at as many shops you can stand to go to, to insure that you get the best deal for your situation. Good Luck, John

You and a friend can install the Razzi kit with no problems, if you follow the install instructions, in a couple of hours.

My dealer installed my skip shift eliminator during an oil change for $15 and promised me it would not affect my warranty.
