Rear Brake Rotors

So the hub around my rotors are rusting, just on the face. I took it to the dealer (useless) their claim was that it's normal so I should get used to it, I say bull shit to that. On my way out I checked out a few other Camaro's on their lot, sitting in the rain, but oddly enough no rust on the hubs. Are any of you good people having this happen at all, and if so what did you do to stop it? I know I could spray them with some good heat resistant all weather paint, but Chevy should have done that already, no?

GM hasn't been painting a lot of suspension and underbody components for a long time now.

My old 2008 SS , did not have a painted axle housing. Had surface rust on it and I got into a verbal tussle with a Judge at a car show about it.

If you don't want any rust there, you will have to paint it yourself. A bit of a pain, but that is the reality of today's manufacturing process. (Called - Cost Containment.)

Well that's just silly, but I guess it wouldn't be a bad Saturday project. Thanks.
