Dead Space 3
Awesome sequel so far, the weapon upgrade system is great. Still creepy though.

I bought DS2 and I like it but the controls are making it a chore. I can't aim for shit
I love the scifi/horror genre.

DS is the only game that ever creeped me out. Part 3 has been cool so far. How far along are you guys?

I'm at like chapter 4 or 5. Can't remember and don't want to spoil anyone. So far I like it. I'm not 100% sold on the make your own weapon idea. I kind of liked the old upgrade path from before with the nodes. I guess I'll see as I get deeper into the game and see how the weapons hold up.

I have no idea what I'm doing with these guns though, I just follow the blue line and shoot. I'll have to check that game out one day, I always forget to get it. |

I like that you can finally play co-op in this new one. Not sure about the build your own weapons thing either. It seems that I will build something, then rip it apart later to build something else, and half the time the things I build aren't as good as what i ripped apart

I'm around chapter 17 I think, the weapons get alot better. One of my weapons is a line gun with acid damage and a shot gun. Its getting fast pace right now.

So is the game worth picking up? I never played DS 1 but beat DS2 along with the prequel thing that came with it. I read a review that they were worried it didnt hold the level of horror the other ones did. This was prior to release though

I can say after playing half the game so far that it is worth it. It's been a lot of fun and still makes you jump once in a while. The weapon system allows you to play around but I have found myself pretty much sticking with the same ones I started with and slightly enhanced them as I go. I would probably play around more if I could take more than two weapons at a time. (technically you can have 2 guns on one frame for a total of 4) I think the reviews were the way they were because the game does feel different but it's in no way a bad game at all.
