Did you pay for it yet? If money hasn't traded hands its not too late. If you just paid a deposit you might lose that, but unless you paid for the whole thing up front they can't force you to take delivery of a car you no longer want.

You could ask if they would let you order another car or ask them to look for a dealer trade through their database. You could always shop a different dealer if they won't work with you being as you haven't put any money down. At this point you have many options.

Honestly, I couldn't see a problem with it. It looks like you might have a dealer with the right Camaro in mind already. I would talk to the salesman and if he is worth his salt he would help you out. It isn't like they would loose any money. The Camaros on the lot had to be shipped there as well, $850 is $850. Just be upfront with them.

We could sit here and go through tons of scenarios ,but the only ones with real answers would be the Dealer,and That's ONLY if they decide to accommodate you.After all,until you give them money,It's their car.

In new york they have to refund your deposit even if you ordered it then changed your mind. I would think the dealer will work with you,especially if they have or can get the ibm. I may be partial but you are making the right move!

If you haven't put any money down on it, then what do you have to lose? See if another dealer has your car, and go get it. If you don't have anything down, you have nothing tying you to this dealer. Just cancel your order and go get what you really want. Whatever you do, don't spend all that money on a car that you are ultimately going to be less than 100% happy with.

If it makes any difference I dont think you can order IBM anymore as its one of the metallic paints that is on constraint due to the disaster in Japan.

Seriously, like Paul SS says, order something you will be happy with. For me that's IOM/IO, first really unique interior colors to come along in a long time. Kudos to the designer!!

The choice is yours ... just sayin'
