Look at Solo Performance. I know someone who has them.... great sound and no drone. This is my next buy.

Now I do have an automatic and maybe that makes a difference. Then again maybe you are more sensitive to it than I am or vice versa.

Either way I agree that the best way for someone to decide if this is the right system (or for that matter any system) they should make arrangements to try and hear it first hand. danrc28 who made the video of my system couldn't believe how little the drone was at 70 mph. We discussed it on the video, listen for the conversation again once we get on the highway.
I am sensitive to drone and I have it know when I do inclines on the freeway, but I didn't hear any in your video, nor in scrmigs video either. You will have a little exhaust sound but that will always be there.

The people who say there is no drone do not know what they are talking about. If you are cruising at 70 on a flat stretch, no problem, but if you go up the slightest incline or on an overpass its very bad. Even the radio can't overcome the drone, it actually messes up the low tones in the music. I have to listen to acoustic music or talk radio on the highway.

Don't take this the wrong way, I do LOVE the sound of the MRT V2's. I understand you have to trade off the good with the bad, and these have more good than bad for me because I don't have to drive on the highway very often.

My advice would be to get in a car with an after market exhaust and experience it yourself then decide.

You CAN NOT hear the ultra low tones that come from the exhaust in any video clip.

The way i see it:
V1 for ages 18-30
V2 for ages 30+

Im going for V1. Besides i always drive with the radio on.

<---is only 25 and loves the v2.

I find it less an age thing, more a personal preference thing. I think the v2 sounds cleaner. I'd rather hear clean and somwhat loud then not so clean and very loud.

The drone, at any speed, has yet to bother me.

+1 I'm 23 and Im heavily leaning towards a v2. Not even considering the v1. The v1 from what I've listened to is too "raspy" and loud. I prefer the refined sound of the v2 from what I've heard.

Im 24 and also dig the sound on V1. Im saying the age thing because we all know us young dudes prefer louder, well atleast here in Cali. Not sure about folks in other parts of the good ol US of A.

Still like V2 but everyone seems to have.

Let me know when you do, because I am trying to figure out what I want too. Of course, I wont get the v8 sound, but want something close to it without sounding like rice.

I agree its an age thing. I'm 41, when I was in my late 20's I had a 93 Blazer with a 350 V8, had glass packs and a crazy loud stereo... Loved it!
