No drone? Quiet as stock? That's funny. I have this system and love it. 6th gear at 45 is quiet but other than that it can be heard and it will drone.

I have no drone at highway speeds at all and is just as quiet as stock at those speeds. Get on the gas and that is a diffrent story,loud and sounds good. People that have driven my car or that have ridden in it have said the same thing so I know it is not just me. Have a nice day.

I am installing SOON and need some input ASAP...Anyone else??

So has anyone else used the supplied? I was thinking about buying some hardened bolts and nuts to replace the ones that came with it and try to get em tight and see how that goes. I am not cheap, but I would rather try and get these to work without spending $75 on new clamps.

If I do need clamps, should I only replace the all 6 with the lap style like this;

I did buy new collector bolts and also welded all of the joints, the Jegs band clamps leaked a little. Everyting did fit very well considering it's a 3in system.

I can see now why a few said they had drone and I did not. I live in Marysville and it is flat groung everywhere. Drove the car yesterday and got it on a long up hill climb on the interstate and it did drone quit a bit in 6th gear and it did get considerably louder in the cabin. Sorry if I mislead anyone. Other than that it is a pretty quiet in the cabin.

I took my 2" headers off yesterday and noticed a small amount of rubbing on the passenger side rail. So slight, I think a 1 7/8" would not have the issue. I used a socket and dented the header where the rubbing was. It was so faint on the header it was basically paint transfer. I touched up the frame with some satin black. and you can't even tell now.

I said screw it and went ahead and ordered 6 of the Dynomax/Walker 33272 lap joint clamps. After looking at the supplied pieces I really think its going to be too much of a headache to try and get them to work and I'd rather just do it the right way. I don't want to weld it because I want to be able to remove or change easily if I want to. If the car needed to be serviced I would hate to have the exhaust cut off. Well, let's see if the clamps will be here by this weekend so I can get this bad boy on!!

The welded exhaust comes off like the factory exhaust, in one piece. Just disconnect at the header joints.

I bought some band clamps from Advance Auto. I bought six. I have not bought the other hardware. I guess I need to.

Yeah, I know but I don't have a welder and would rather just bolt this up and be able to take apart if I want to.

My second set of clamps worked perfectly "MEGA-CLAMP #33272" all of the way back. Once my V Max T/B is here I can fire the beast up...
