Curb Rash - Sucks!

Well with the way the wheels on the 1LE stick out even with or even a little in front of the short sidewall it was bound to happen. Wasn't careful enough and rubbed a curb pulling into a lot and got about a 1 inch long by 1/2 wide section of road rash on the lip of the rim.

I suppose if I ever want it to be the same it's a new wheel but is there any way to really repair the finish on wheels like this well?

Mt too.

Luckily Plasti Dip covered the paint and filled in the scratches. Only I can find where it happened now. It would be cool if the side view mirrors dipped down in reverse like some cars.

It would be cool but until then you can move the side view mirrors down yourself.

Some Chevy dealers repair wheels. Turnersville Chevrolet in South Jersey does it. They claim it will look like new when they are done.

Prevention

I just changed my wheels for American Racing Torks and had a rash after 3 week. Very small though.

Here's what I have in order to hide the scratch and also to prevent any rash in the futur. I think that this will be a decent 100$ invesment.
