Change of heart - I just looked and they are gouging $30 for this Friday night (9/2/16). No way I'm paying double for what's gonna be a busy night for them anyways. I'll probably try again 9/16/16.

Ah yeah. It's Empire Nationals. Agreed, not worth the $30. Let me know if you head out another Friday, buddy.

Will do, I'll definitely post up here. Be nice to see your car run with the blower - I've given that swap some thought. How's she do?

I love the SLP blower. Heatsoak is a killer, and DA has been terrible every Friday I have gone. Best run so far this season was 11.8 @ 117mph. I think I can squeeze a 11.6/11.7 out of it with a good DA. How about you, what's your best run?
P.S. Is anyone on here going to Olcott Beach Car Show this week? I'm not big into car shows, but this show is pretty decent. |

I just bought the car in July, so I haven't tracked this one yet. I'm hoping for a mid 12 in the 112 mph range as long as the air is decent and I get through the gears nicely. I honestly am really frustrated with this car's 1-2 shift - you have to really go slowly and intentionally to avoid the high rpm grind associated with the really slow and low volume stock master cylinder. When I say slowly and intentionally, it's really not terrible, we're talking the difference between a .2 second shift a .5 second shift. As long as I pay attention and make an intentional clutch then shift, not clu..shift motion, I'm fine. The consequences come if I revert to "autopilot" and just shift like I always have, then my gear movement exceeds the speed of the clutch opening (the short throw exaggerates this further I'm sure) and I get a grind before catching second. Usually the second I feel that I just abort the run - I don't wanna let the clutch up if second gear isn't firmly engaged. I've been practicing and I can absolutely drive around it, I just don't like it. Next mod on my list is an IdealGarage modified master cylinder which is supposed to greatly improve clutch opening speed and allow for more aggressive shifting. Just drives me crazy - I drove my intake/cat-back '96 Z28 LT1 car to a 13.6@103 (which was a smoking fast time for a basically stock LT1) at NYIRP with some near perfect launches and quick shifting - I just can't hustle this car through the gears like that.

My car is auto, but I have heard from many M6 guys the modified master cylinder is a game changer. It's funny is I tell people the same thing about older cars I had, a 13 second street car was fast. 5 years ago I had a 13 second 350z and I thought it was the fastest thing ever. That exciting number now I think is saying you have an 11 second street car. It's crazy how things have changed.
