2012 ZL1 with a Hennessey HPE700 package

My ZL1 is at the shop getting some mods, but I thought I would share a few clips of it after I got it back from Hennessy

There you go , he says in this video that when the car came in had about 490 HP at the wheels [ 580] at the crank from the factory
Now it has 675 RWHP , so it must be somewhere north of 760 at the crank

I did the HPE 700 and had them add headers. They said it was close to 800hp at the crank. It was not cheap, but money well spent. I like the reliability and the 3 year warranty they give you.

I sort of like the idea of doing it without headers, but it's quite obvious you got some extra hp from the headers. Pretty sure they use Big Flow polished headers. Those are a great set and look good too.

I kept the stock exhaust (which I was told is pretty good on the ZL1) as I wanted to keep it a little quite and I didn't want to do a cat delete as I think that would of came back and got me at a later date.

Well you did it right. I may have to re-think headers. That cam sounds great.

If you deside to do it later you will have to retune which is a double ding. I am very glad I did it the first time.
