Im confused on what kit is being sold of if 2 kits are being sold.
REVOLUTIONSS post #74 posted a pic. Looks like a kit for the camaro with the rear hats ect: I think those struts look way better an much stronger. VictoryRacingEngines post #99 posted pics of there install. those rear struts look cheap an upper mount looks weak "no disrespect" im sure they have been tested ect: just saying. Id rather much have something like post #74. Jesse can you confirm what struts are being sold???? Im ready to order i just wanna make sure what im ordering, I dont wanna order an find out after their is a 2nd kit. Please lmk asap thanks. |

Post 74 is of the same front with the old rear. Post 99 is what you would be getting if you order a kit. We went to an upper eye mount instead of the crappy stock stud mount. There is a lot more articulation going on then you may think, so the eye mount actually give the car the freedom to move comfortably without any binding.
Not sure what your saying looks cheap in the build, but I assure you its not a stamped factory part thats reused in the kit. All new, tougher than stock, and a hell of a lot better lookin in my opinion. |

An like i said in my post before this one, no disrespect by cheap i was compairing those rears to the rears in 74. The other ones just look more heavy duty i guess, Like i said im sure they been tested an proven. My worries are having that type of upper mount on a daily driver do you have any pics showing the top of the rear mount where the eye is held on? How much weight are those rear sleeves rated for? whats the max psi? or if you have all the info specs on the front an rear struts please post. I wanna make sure i know everything before buying. Thanks. |

Jesse
In the two videos the pressure in the bags seems to be pretty low during the testing Could they fit gauges and start with 45 psi for the front bags and 80 psi for the rear and redo the test with the gauges pressures visible I have used the rolling sleeve bags before and they usually don't roll over the top plate unless they have low pressure in them What is the max running pressure for the rear bags and what is their load rating To get these engineered in Australia we need this info Do you have a chart for the bags like Firestone and Slam does? Any info would be great thanks Ps I spoke to Debbie at Air Lift and she said the kits would be released until June but you are saying they are ready Can I get a pair of front and rear struts off you?? |

The bags being tested in the video are set to 100psi. When they hit the top of the stroke they see about 180-200psi. I believe Tim cruises with 50psi or so in the front and 90-95psi in the rear. I will get you guys the numbers and load ratings on the bags with a quickness.
The question on the upper mount in the rear. My quick response. Would you rather be on a swing set that pivots on a stud, or one that actually pivots on its on real axis. As a daily driven car our eye mount should be smoother and out last the stud mount design. Think of the swing as a pendulum. A stud mount limits movement, the eye mount lets you swing freely. I know both styles have been used for years. Show me where a race car or higher class sports car runs a stud mount. I will also get more pics of the upper rear for you guys. FEA testing on this upper rear shows it with 4000lbs of force on the bolt. Last edited by Jesse@AirLift; 05-13-2010 at 08:40 AM. |

This is what the reddish camaro is on the road to do right now. They are driving it from MI, to Nevada as I type and are probably already there with some of the average speed pics I have received.

No its not just for show Ian. Tim I believe averaged a speed of 149mph for this run on air suspension.
I will try to get the exact numbers from the bad arse engineers from Air Lift |
