Brandi got some new plugs today...

First time they have been changed since thee build.... The tips looked pretty good, with a light brown dusting and there was some black sooty material on the insulator, but nothing unexpected sine we are still running a very conservative tune and 11.4 AFR's...

Plug reading isn't quite the same on the newer motors, but it always gives you the warm fuzzies when they look good. Especially on a high HP build like your R. Cool !!

We are running a TR 6 plug, so being a bit cooler, I expected the buildup on the insulator, especially with not having opportunity lately to really heat them up on a real long hard pull... So, we had about what I expected... The main reason I changed them was in prep of my cross country sojourn coming up... Didn't want to have to worry about fouling a couple of them put with the less than stellar octane I'll be using...I alias the thinner air won't need the high octane, but....

So, is your interior all buttoned up again? Well, as far as can be, I guess is what I'm asking; until you get up North?

Yup, the kick panels are not in yet, and the rear carpet isnt laid back down completely, but it's as far as I'm going until the cage is finished...

I don't mean to be critical, but wasn't there anyone in Texas who can do that work? I'm sure you have a good reason. You always do.

I was thinking... "where is the point furthest from home that I can drive to?" Road trip!

Lol, yes something like that...

Corey could do the work but in talking to RPM, we decided on a slight change and rather than guessing on the new bends, I'll take my car up there as a guinea pig... Custom fit and finish... and future buyers of the 8 point cage will have options...

My wife and I have been talkng about going up to the Seattle area for a mini vacation anyway... so this is a perfect oppurtunity...

I'll drive up there and if it works out, she will fly into Portland and I'll pick her up at the airport and we'll make our way up through Seattle and on into Canada to visit with Mercuryman and enjoy some Canadian sights...

Hope you have a great time! Now, are you still kicking around coming to Pony Wars? Looks like the SST will be debuting! I can't wait!

I may have to take a pass on that this year... It's 2100 miles to Portland, the 300 or so into Canada, and it would be 2400 plus from there to SGMP... and then a 1000 miles home.. over a two and a half week period of time...

That may be too much with my knee, but... you never know... I would absolutely love to meet those of you I haven't met in person yet, and to see Bruce again and finally get to see the SSt...

True, true. Don't want you to do anything to put your healin' at risk. Some procedures here have got me limiting some things lately. We'll meet up, we may be in Texas next summer.....and then there's C5 Fest as well.
