question about hennessey packages
Hello,
i have a 2010 camaro 2ss automatic, and i already have ARH and k&n air intake. but i would like to take my car to the next step, so i decided to buy either the hpe 600 package or hpe 650 from Hennessey Performance. i got the following deals from a local car tuning shop: -hpe 600 package &installation for 14k dollars -hpe 650 package & installation for 20 k dollars but i feel like the shop is just trying to take more than what he deserves. so what do you think about the prices ? |

Me thinks you're a little confused. Hennessey sells and installs "Hennessey" packages. Another shop can quote you a price for similar upgrades, but it won't be a "Hennessey" package. Your call as to whether that's important or not. Lots of shops can install similar parts. You have to decide what is important regarding the name and what isn't....

noo the shop is going to buy a package from hennessey performance and install it for me, because hennessey's labor is much more expensive.
In addition, he told me that he gets a special discount from hennessey. anyway do you think the price is good for the upgrades or i could get the same upgrades much cheaper ? Last edited by naruto9988; 10-18-2011 at 05:30 PM. |

More importantly ....... What are YOU looking for ...what are YOUR goals and desires with this car....... Once you have that figured you can ask and judge which way to go about getting there.......

I would go with lingenfelter before hennessey. Actually Hennessey would be my last choice and thats after doing it myself.

^^^^ That's what I was going to ask. There are plenty of shops around... Hennessey included, that will beat those prices. Someone is feeding you a line...

ADM in Texas, Lingenfelter in Indiana. There are many. Most important to me was who was doing the work, not necessarily the equipment itself.

They have name recognition and resale value as a numbered special edition tuner car...that is what you are buying. You can get the same equipment and performance for less but it won't have the same resale value as a non collector car. Truth be told, IMO, folks that buy Hennessey Camaro's 2nd hand probably don't know they are overpaying for the performance level or they have too much money to care. If you are going to keep it for a long time and drive it then go somewhere else and make it "true" beast for the same price. If you are buying with the plan to drive it a little, have some fun and then resale in a few years with low miles then the Hennessey makes sense. Just my .02 cents
