First of all, thank God you're both AOK.
Secondly, I don't think you'll find many people blaming you on Camaro5. Most of us would have done exactly the same thing. It was a controlled area, not a public road, and there's nothing wrong with a little showing off.

However, I'm going to take your lesson to heart when mine comes in, and try to temper those urges. Thank you for posting this!

Be safe. The car is cool, and you have to be able to deflect some of that pressure to be crazy. Feel free to show off, just be safe and give yourself plenty of space.

tradosaurus- I've got news for you, I'm almost 50 years old. As Ron White says....you can't fix stupid.

Like some of you have mentioned, my guess is most of you would have done the same thing showing off. I never had any thought things would turn out the way they did or I obviously wouldn't have done it. There was a small crowd gathered around pressuring us to show what our cars could do. This is the first time I have ever done anything like this, and based on what happened it will be the last. Like I said, let Eric's mistake and damage to his Mustang be a lesson to what can happen.

You have never seen 20+ people scatter so fast when Eric hit that tree. It was like they thought they were going to be in trouble for something.

Today's event would certainly fall under the catagory "SHIT HAPPENS!"

I would have liked to see his face right before he hit the tree!

But aside from that... that really sucks.

You just have to look over tradosaurus post either he has a dry sense of humor or he just likes posting in a sarcastic manner most of the time

Fortunately he only hit a tree and not some family walking the dog in the park. Hopefully lessons learned all around.
