Info on VIN

Hey guys, I need a little help real quick. I have a 1978 Z28 and I was hoping someone could give me some more info on it using the VIN of the car. Does anyone know where I could do this?

Are you talking about a simple car fax?

Unfortunately - as far as I know, GM's systems can only pull VIN codes from 2000 to present.

ck the glove box or the drivers door for a decal with the RPO codes on it(not sure if they put them there back then) you can then type those into google and see what comes up.

The VIN on a 1978 Camaro is not going to have much info about individual options, but it will have the model number, the plant code, and the engine code. The model number will identify it as either a Base Coupe, Rally Sport, Type LT, or Z28.
