The high stress levels of constantly keeping the car in pristine cosmetic appearance was something I couldn't deal with anymore.

So I decided it was time to do some major downsizing and I bought myself a little Mini Cooper S which is actually pretty fun to drive. Yes, I do realize the car barely has 1/3 the HP that my ZL1 had but it's actually pretty impressive on the street. The getty-up-n-go surprised the heck out of me. I'm more than pleased with the car and I feel like my wallet has gotten this huge burden unloaded as well.

I still plan on hanging out on the C5 forum but mainly in the car washing section. I met some very nice members in this section of the forum and I'm thankful for that.

Sorry Ozzie did you sell it to Felix or trade her in?

It's just a car. I'll bet that new ride will be just as fun to drive around on public roads. The C5 community tends to get too wrapped up in these Camaros. They're just cars. Whatever works for you is what's important. Congrats on the new ride. I like the color combo.

traded in. The Mini dealership gave me a little more than what Carmax offered me so I took it. I never should have traded in my Bee which by the way was paid for. :(

I share your pain. Instead of selling though, I just picked up a second car (truck).

I wish you the best of luck!

Wish you the best of luck, maybe we will see you as a Z owner again. I too sold my Z a little while ago, but now I'm thinkning of getting another one. Go figure..... If the 2015 has an option for the LS9 I would be all over that!!!!1

it was a very tough decision. a decision that had been eating away at me for quite some time. I just didn't want to accept it. I had a 2010 SS Transformers car that was paid for when I traded it for my ZL1. I took a pretty big bath (money wise) when I did that and now an even deeper bath by trading in the Z. I do feel like a huge financial load has been lifted off my shoulders and I'm thankful the monthly output will be going from a fire hose sized out put to a drinking straw sized out put.

that's the only positive outlook I have in this ordeal.

I have a family member with one, first time I drove it I thought it was a dog, until I realized I was shifting at a V8 like 5-6K RPM. Once I let the thing rev like it needed to you're right, it woke right up...
