dyno#,s & headers

first off,,2011 L99... did alot of research this spring and was not going to buy headers this yr. instead deleted resonator and went with high flo,s. #,s after showed 350wrhp and 360 tq. decent #,s car runs strong. could,nt wait so i just bought headers waiting to get them,,thx maryland speed. anyway,,, talked to tuner and was told most see #,s around 350 with headers?? well, i already have those #,s , so i,m trying to figure out if my money was worth it. even if i get 6-8 hp after a retune, and thats not a given, thats pretty expensive for what i,m paying. thoughts??

With the longtubes and tune you will probaby be around 360 to 370. I am 336 with just CAI and X-Pipe instead for resonator. High flows says they will get you around 20 so I would be at 35X and longtubes would get me about 30-40 so that would be the 360 to 370 range.

Someone doesn't know what the F&^% they're talking about. Headers and a tune will easily get you around 40rwhp, so if he's already at 350, headers are going to give him a lot more than just 10hp.

Btw, both of you need a lesson in proper grammar/punctuation.

The camaro begs for headers, look at your stock manifold, small route restricted power robbing exhaust tubes. Go for it, post up what you actually end up with.
Watch out for the grammar police, they are monitoring every post.

what dyno did u use. my tuner has never seen 390 from headers and intake? most companys (realistically) will tell you 35 maybe 40 for headers with a tune. i,d like to think i could get 365-370 at the wheels. 390,,,in my dreams maybe. we will see.

I have an LS3. With a tune added to American Racing long tube headers and high flow cats, Corsa cat back, and a high flow K&N stock style air filter I gained 41RWHP and 45ft pounds of torque.

Interesting to note that the skeptical tuner (wanted to sell me a CAI package) dynoed it with the stock filter and then with the K&N, and noted an 8HP gain just from the filter. Not too bad for a $55 filter vs. a $400+ CAI setup.

Stock RWHP was 367, and is now at 408 with these mods. I cannot remember the stock torque number and I am working out of the country this week, so I don't have the dyno sheet with me.

Did you not read? He has high flow cats already. Part of the longtube gains is losing the stock cats. And you should show more respect for people that have been here longer than you.
