Thank God for the sensors and warning systems.

Fortunately it was going bad slowly but I might have missed it otherwise.

Scary part is when it's cooled down and freshly started the pressure hold steady and drops slowly as it heats up.

But that starting pressure is only 30 psi.

easy fix = 20W50 oil

I did actually think that maybe my bearings were going but it would not be such an overnight thing like this was.

I would also like to point out that this is the only mod on my car that I did not do myself.

And when I put the blower on I heard my car lope for the first time in almost a year.

Just sayin'

Damn when it rains it pours.

Maybe your car is just pissed that you're not taking it to the fest.

Nope. I wish. Low oil pressure won't cause that.

BUT, when I took the supercharger off, put new gaskets on it and put the blower back on I heard the car lope. Which I hadn't heard in a long time. So I think that was my problem. Air getting in two of the ports.

I gotta drop the oil pan, take the timing cover off, move the alternator, take the harmonic balancer off and swap the pump. Sucks.

I wonder if all my down shifting caused this. I do it more than I brake. lol

Listen at the end of this video and hear my valve train clatter.

And that's with 30 PSI of oil pressure as I had just started the car. I will take the covers off to have a quick look. I hope for the best.

Oh, and I pulled a total PQ move not tightening that fitting. lmao

how many times have you put on new intake gaskets now? you sure the blower manifold is flat?
not trying to dump a 5th of rum in your punch, but it seems like it's been a few times now that something's seemed better from putting on a new set

Only a few. Found two bolts on the blower that were totally loose.

I can't be sure but I'd think it would have been caught in the dyno tune.

How much oil did you loose before you caught the leak/low pressure?

What else changed? Just the gauge?

Hope it's not bearings :fingerscrossed:

Pull the filter and cut it open to look for carnage.

haha, Funny. I was about to cut the filter and came inside to get a drink.

Lost zero oil. Nothing else changed.

Mechanical gauge and cabin (four pack) gauge.

I'd be shocked if it were the bearings. Happened WAY too fast for that. One day it was fine, the next it was way low oil pressure.

Hmmm..... Hmmmmmmmm.... Well bearings can just "go", but doubtful.

Most likely pressure relief valve sticking in the pump. Had that happen in my truck. Brand new pump too.

If you change the pump, go through the new one and polish/debur the relief piston. Just takes 1 piece of trash to jam that thing open, dumping pressure.

I wouldn't run it anymore, if it were my car. But change the oil/filter and give it a whirl, just cause. Maybe a sea foam treatment too. Thinking out loud.

Does this new gauge get its readings from the same place as the 4 pack?

I'd have that old oil tested as well... you'll be amazed how much it can tell about your motors health.

Old school fuel pressure gauge... love it
