seriously?! my first time at the track - i ran a best of 15.8 with my stock 110k mi 5.3 (+ CAI, muffler, & tune). that was spinning through half of 1st and having a super-slow shift to 3rd

I had a votec max that ran high 15's. That's why I passed on the raptor. This year is just a teaser. Their're going to improve them big time. Wait and see.
Why else would they come out with a 6.2l motor if they didn't have plans to up the HP. they already make the same power with the 5.0.

I wish I had money for the SS :( got the V6, but still happy with it. Not happy with the exhaust sound tho.

whats your Average MPG? im getting 15.3,auto,exhaust and CAI tuned ... just curious on what i could of been saving

The reason why you are quicker is simple, you weigh around 4000 pounds, the Raptor weighs around 6000.......

With CAI, tune, long tubes, hiflows and axle back, I average 24.5mpg combined with my v6 and a heavy foot. At least two 1/4 mile runs are done with every tank, and many "I feel like having fun " moments.
