***ETMC NEW SHOP DRAG CAR BUILD THREAD****

well a few months ago we decided to retire the 94 camaro and part it out and get a new drag car and this is what we came up with::turbonaug









car was a low low 9sec car with the SBC in it on 175 shot. it was one of many of a customers car and he decided he needed to thin out his drag cars so he sold us this car.

it is back half,full tube, full race frame, 17" slicks,all alum and fiber glass car, race weight with the SBC in it and driver was around 2650lbs.

well we have always wanted to do a LS race car so we figured this would be the one to do it to. SOOOOOOOOOO first thing body work and paint job.

If anyone knows me they know im into planes. I was a aircraft mech for over 6 years and love flying . so i took a p51 paint job and put it onto my race car.

AND Big thanks to Kris for giving us a heck of a deal on his slightly used KB 2.8 blower that he took off when he domodded his car.

Car will be running the e38 computer
09 vette gas pedal
will have a MSD two step for launch control(5000RPM!!!!)
TH400 with trans brake that we took out of the 94 camaro
car already had a FAB 9" with 4.88 gears
























Car is a mess right now, lots of wires to tie up, lots of hoses to run, still alot to do.

BUT i think you get the picture of what the car will be like. lots more pics to come!!!

This is bad ass! The P51 is my favorite fighter of all time, and you did a perfect job with the custom paint work! Looks phenomenal!
Not to mention it's gonna throw down some great times at the track!

we are going to keep her around 1000 HP so we are hoping for mid 8s out of it

The "keep her around 1000 HP" part blows me away. Haha, someday I'd like to say I will be "keeping my 2012 camaro around 600 HP".

(maybe that intake will help me get started? )

Car went on the dyno yesterday

8 PSI
on 100OCT fuel not race fuel yet

did 601 to the tires. the dyno shows over 200 HP driveline loss on this car. it can read neg HP reading to show you how much your driveline is eating up. these monster 33" slicks, the 9",th400 with a 5000 stall all eat up a ton of HP so we are VERY happy with over 600 to the tires on only 8 psi. more info to come as we turn up the boost next week and get some vids up!

I was at Stephens shop couple weeks ago getting my Camaro tuned and pics dont do his Camaro justice! It is beautiful!! Cant wait to see it run!
Car is running great! Thanks for the awesome tuning and getting to me on your day off!!
If anyone needs anything GM tuned or modified I can and have recommended Stephen at East Texas Muscle Cars!
And I havent forgot about bringing you those mats!!

ok well the car only could make 10 PSI without over spinning the little 2.8 so it was time to do a little custom work. I decided that the intake was a huge restriction so i made a new one and put a 102 MM TB on there.

now she is at 14 psi with no pulley swaps!
