Red-Line question

I was caught in the moment, adrenline flowing , and didn't shift out of first. It obviously redlined and cut the power to the engine, so I shifted to 5th and the car was fine. Did i just void the warranty?

You'll be alright. The redline and fuel cutoff is there to protect the motor in events like that. Take it easy and shift slow until you get smooth with it and adjusted to the sloppy factory shifter. Just look out for that 2-3 shift when you start going through the gears at high rpms.
