Nobody listened.
The front looks EXACTLY like the bumblebee. People didn't want to believe it.

I agree the indentations on that one looks good. They put that on the rear of the car which makes no sense

Not exactly.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Its very similar except for the placements of the section for the DRL's. Those NOSTRAL's have got to go.

exactly????? the space between upper and lower grill is way smaller, the sides of the nose are more squared off, and there are no fog lights/ports at all on the bee!!!!
Not close.

I don't think they look exactly the same, but the 6th gen does look much more like the Transformers car than I hoped.
I was really excited after seeing chaz's renderings, but I'm not thrilled with what I see. Hopefully some high resolution photos will show some more flattering details. |

inspired... yes! i'll bet there is a clause for the movie directors that the style was made just for the movie and not for production

The transformers car looked closer to a 2015. It's not right on, it still looked like a Camaro, but we knew and now still know, that's not it.

Bumblebee—those aren't the real headlights (or fog lights or upper grille or lower grille or hood or rear quarter or roofline or anything).

Making a one off vehicle for movie production and building tens of thousands for production that has to meet numerous DOT regulations are totally different! The general idea is certainly derived from from the latest Transformer movie but this one has a lot more wind tunnel testing and will be meet crash test requirements. Remember 5th Gen cars have a five star safety rating and I am sure that GM wants to retain that rating with the 6th Gen car. I think most of the negative replies will die down later today and certainly after we get to spend some time behind the wheel of the new car. Have a great day today and remember our friends and family that are not around to share this event with us today.

production companies spend millions on producing props and replica cars for movies... this would be a simple 5th gen with a body makeover
