I have to say I just find it hard to believe that I ordered in October of '08 (down payment and all) and did not even make it into the top 20,000 VIN#s. How can this be? Geez. Not that I really care about the number per se but the fact that it took that many cars before mine got pulled for production (assuming that it really did get pulled). I have lost all confidence that the car is even being built. I have absolutely no evidence or positive reenforcement other than what my salesman has told me. I guess I will go on in disbelief until I walk up there on the lot and see it sitting there. This is not what I thought ordering a new car like this was going to be like.

You sound like my wife as of last Thursday. Then, poof, Friday the Business Director at the dealer sent her the VIN and date produced.... Thursday. Hang in there.

I ordered my first Camaro in 1973 and it was just as bad waiting, just not an internet to compare notes with others. The best thing was spotting the car on the transport as I drove home one day so got to watch it get unloaded. Although damaged while backing down the ramp, it was still real exciting to get to see it on the truck and go to the shop!

Hey, I feel your pain. I ordered just after you, never thought I would be among the first built, but I didn't think it would take over 20,000 to see mine roll of the line. Hang in there, we are almost there.

Yeah GM messed that up giving cars to dealers and rental companies. Anyhow looking at your numbers your car should be coming off the line in a day or two if not allready!

Mine has been on the vin tracker since 20 May and still no car (07694). Lost hope of ever seeing it. Even the salesman hasnt returned any calls since 25 may.

Hey luckynuts, I'm 19,736, 2 after you! Dealer gave me a printout that said "In Transit". But it could be just sitting somewhere...

Given your location that may be understandable but I would show up to the dealership and get some service.

That was mine, I've busted knuckles for years with the GM cars, spent so many hours and dollars building cars, for the RP6 people that have not received the car, I can only wish that they will get the car as soon as possible. I'm a Chevy (and a Harley) man, while I was not a RP6 order, I've waited for this car since '02. GM tried to get the car right with the 4th Gen, there were some "good" cars, not great, but good and I owned a very good 99 Z-28. Owned 1st and 2nd Gen Camaro's, which some I felt were great automobiles.

I live in a very small area in West Tennessee, I went to the dealer in April, placed my order on May 4th, went to 1100 on the 7th, the dealer had allocation and here I am.

Whenever I get the car, I'll feel proud to own a 5th Gen Camaro, and when I hit 1500 miles, the slight grin will come, I'll drop the clutch, and a nice safe burnout will occur and all in life will be good.
