Trifecta caused a CEL after couple of months?
is this normal??? just play a quick video.. and now my CEL is on everytime. not like in the video. its been like 6 months i had trifecta.
anyone having the same prob?

mmmmkay. how can i know the specific code? go to autozone or something to read the code?

Yes they will tell you but if it was me I would invest in a ob2 scanner even a cheap one comes in handy.

Also do you have a cable if so you can trifecta software to read the codes

Hunterv6 is on the money here. Just buy a cheap reader and alls good. I've had the tune for year and no problums. If anything I lost a code caused by my shorty headers.

So im in the shop right now and the mechanic says the code is
P 2177 : system too lean off idle bank 1 P 2179 : system too lean off (pd) idle bank 2 Does anyone can tell me what it means?

Are you using aftermarket airbox? Oiled filter? If so grab some maf cleaner. Remove maf, spray it down with the cleaner, let dry and try again. You can get this at most parts stores.
Not saying that is the issue but, could be. K&N airboxes have caused this issue for some if you have one of those. If answer to all of above is no. Still clean the maf and see if it goes away. Could take a few miles for it to dissapear after cleaning. If it was a loose gas cap i think the code goes away once done up properly and you restart the car like 5 times. |

You don't need to take it anywhere or buy anything to see the codes if there are any. Just plug in your Trifecta cable, open ezflash, go to vehicle info, code scanner. It will tell you the code and what it means.
