2010 Camaro Rear Window Lower Window Seal Improperly Installed at Delivery/Fix

Has anyone had issues with the rear window, lower seal being improperly installed at delivery? If so, what was the fix?

Make your dealer fix it. It helps with trend analysis.

Are you refering to the rubber strip between the rear window and the trunk lid?

If so I found mine falling half way off.
I havent taken it in to dealer yet because I just noticed it Saturday night.

I hope it just has to be re-adhered with correct type of sealer.

All: My dealer had a Custom Glass and Upholstry shop re-glue my strip.....and it came off again. My dealer is now going to remove my rear window and re-attach the strip.

I know this thread is old but wanted other people to know that my seal is coming loose also. I took it to my dealer today and they want to replace the entire window. The tech said that is the best solution for this problem. Just putting glue on the seal is not the proper fix according to the tech.

There is a new design seal that wraps aroung the glass edge, but urethane needs to be added to help it hold. The bulletin states that there is suppose to be a tape strip in the seal, but there isn't. So TAC told us we needed to add the urethane.

I got that new strip last month and it came loose as well. I'll mention the urethane thing to the service adviser on the next attempt. Thanks for the info.

I'm dealing with the same issue. I took it back to the dealership and they "fixed" it by putting adhesive on the strip. Naturally it held until my next wash. I tried it again myself using 3M Weatherstrip Adhesive but the result was the same. I'm very hesitant in having the dealership fix it by removing the window because I spent a lot of time polishing the swirls out of the paint and I'd like to keep it that way. Any other thoughts how to permanently fix it? Thanks.
