I sent them an email last week and got a reply saying that it would be sometime this summer for a release. Don't know if anybody here can confirm this or not.

So just a few updates that I got from Turboentics on the kit they have been working on. Turbonetics for now is going with a 72mm compressor instead of the 61mm they were going to use before. The 72mm compressor is good for 850 CHP of air which is quite a bit higher than the 61mm. Turbonetics is mocking up the 72mm on a Camaro they just bought. The 72mm is what they are using now but it may change later from what I'm told. Pictures of the current mockup 72mm below:

This system needs to be on my car.. I want to try it with my longtubes and cats to my flowmaster catback.. I love the connection point they used and I love the fact that its not bolted to the manifold!! A+++++ design!

For those California people you'll be happy to know that Turbonetics isn't releasing any kits that aren't CARB exempt(approved).

Got some more details. The kit is most likely going to release with a 62mm compressor but the kit was designed to fit a T-series compressor cover so if someone wants to get really crazy later you could easily replace the unit in the kit with a 76 or 78mm turbo later for even more power. With the 62mm compressor Turbonetics is looking at making 625+ CHP at 5-7 PSI on 91 pump. The final dyno chart and kit design is being unveiled at SEMA in a few weeks. I'll be there so I'll post up more photos, details, etc then. Hopefully I'll even get some video for you.
I cam promise you (1) 62mm turbo will not make 625 at the crank at 7psi - perhaps 10 to 12. Turbonetics was the first to admit they would have loved to done a twin but they knew it would be an uphill battle to get legalized. That ended that. They did a great job of engineering the single kit but again look at all the plumbing it took - You have none of that with a twin set up and it flat out makes more power. If fact the GMS kit as 2 62mm turbos and it still packages with half the tubing as the Turbonetics kit.

In this case 2 is for sure beter than 1

You're correct. That post was with outdated info. It just released with a 76mm compressor

Yup. Last I heard the car has already gone through the testing process and passed and is just waiting for CARB to issue the official EO number.

Hmm... Looking at the placement of the turbo, it looks like there shouldn't be a problem utlizing the OEM air cleaner and carbon trap. I'd like better pictures and more information; if you have any suggestions, please feel free to comment.

Thanks

As far as I know the factory airbox is being used. I think it has to be to pass CARB EO testing.

That's my understanding, too. I'm not much for turbocharging (just because I prefer SC'ing a tiny bit more) but it certainly doesn't hurt to have too many choices!
