Anyone else in love with this qoute??

I am in love with this qoute... plain and simple fact. regardless of weather you drive a v6 v8 or have the almighty ZL1.......
"The angriest Mustang in history, the car that had face-punched the ZL1 for months at auto shows and in Web forums was being systematically annihilated by that exact car. Every corner was another opportunity for the Camaro to drop trou and wave its giant bowtie-emblazoned butt in the GT500's face"

That's awesome! You can just imagine the ZL1 shaking it's butt, and the look on the Mustang's face.

So in their tests, the GT500 beat the Camaro in everything except the lateral g's.
Don't get me wrong, I love chevy's and Camaro's, but annihilated?

That article seemed very one sided. I love the ZL1 but I'm not so sure about that review.

I'd still take the ZL1 over the GT500, but I wouldn't complain about owning either

Both cars are a hand full for sure, but i just love the looks of the ZL1 much more, the stang's looks are dated looking to me. It is a very fast production car none the less.

From what i read most articles.... ford made a "Point and shoot car"
Chevy made a "hey look a turn, I can do that"

Sort of. The Camaro's more sophisticated suspension allowed the power to get to the ground when it was needed, whereas the Mustang's live axle danced in corners making it very hard to get the power down. Put them both on a smooth drag strip and the Mustang kicks the ZL1 in the teeth. Put them on a road or road course and the ZL1 shows the Mustang it's taillights. Ford did a great job on the Mustang...great motor and they really dialed in the old chassis...but Chevrolet made a better car in the views of the editors of that article. They called it the "best GM car - EVER!" Bold statement.

My favorite quote from that article: "Did That Just Happen?
Nothing is more humbling than watching a car with 100 fewer horses and the extra weight of an NFL running back disappear into the distance on a back road. But that's exactly what happened when we brought the two cars together to establish which is the best-driving pony car ever. The answer, as improbable as it seemed, was as obvious as the Camaro's shrinking taillights."
