2014 SS 1LE with hood vinyl, anyone?
Wondering if anyone has pictures of a 2014 1LE with the vinyl on the hood removed. Thanks

YES, that is a Z/28, but it is the same hood and front fascia with some black wheels...........pretty much the same look a 1LE will have without hood wrap. If that doesn't work for you, use the Google and search 2014 Camaro SS images and squint a bit to pretend there is a chin spoiler on it

LOL thanks. I'm sure a least a couple people with a '14 1LE will wanna ditch the vinyl. But you're right. I squinted at that pic and I'm sure it's the way to go now.

Just be careful we had a customer 2 weeks ago want the vinyl removed and when it was being taken off the hood had a lot of defects in the paint. Almost looked like chevy used a hood that was a blem and just wrapped it...The hood had to be repainted

Many 2013 owners removed their vinyl wrapper on the hood and the paint was perfect underneath. It'd be nice if Chevrolet made a comment online here about the 2014s. Frankly, I'd assume, it's easier for the factory to just paint the car then wrap but, who knows, maybe they are expecting more demand this year and changed their production process in anticipation of demand in a way to save manufacturing costs.
There are guys in the factory that watch these threads. I have no idea if their employment contract forbid them from disclosing this kind of information but if they are so permitted it'd be very helpful for 2014 owners. |

I would never question the integrity on the Canadian GM workers but the fact that the Camaro run is coming to an end there has to be a factor in staying motivated. That is to say that it is very easy to begin looking ahead on a new project before the current one has been fully completed. Finish Strong

I miss the wrap
It peeled right off. I unscrewed the hood scoop. Peeled it off in 20 minutes. No residue, perfect paint underneath. Got tired of the wrap being dirty, pain in the ass to keep clean. |
